A Year of FHE

This is a new blog I stumbled upon and I LOVE it! Emilie has come up with a year of FHE lessons and activities for her family and shares them with everyone. Even her printouts and songs and everything. You have to check it out! It has been a lifesaver for me because I never know what to teach my kids for FHE, so we always did lessons from the nursery manual. Graham Cracker Houses

One night while we were Chad's family we made graham cracker houses. Cheryl, (mother-in-law) is a preschool teacher and had some houses left over for the kids to decorate. They loved eating all of the frosting and candies, instead of putting it on their houses. We will have to make this a yearly tradition. Maybe have a competition or something.

Nathan (brother #4- right above Chad) and his wife Celia and daughter Eliza made a white knuckle drive up from Provo to be here for Christmas. We loved hanging out with them and the kids loved playing with Eliza.

Ty (brother #3) and his wife Jenny, also came up from the tri-cities and hung out. We played Pit one night and got kinda crazy and loud! It's always fun to relax with family. We enjoyed seeing everyone.

Nutcracker

Ellie LOVES to dance. We are looking into getting her signed up for ballet classes. She had the opportunity to go see "The Nutcracker" being put on by a local company and she LOVED it! It was almost three hours and she sat there the whole time and clapped and was enthralled. She got to go with her grandma and spend some one on one time with her. She also got to meet some of the dancers. She was so happy and couldn't stop telling us about it when she got home. She is our Prima Ballerina!

Cable Bridge Run

This is the beginning of a long line of posts from our Christmas break activities.

On the 18th I ran a 10k! It was the Cable Bridge Run in the tri-cities. I was hoping my brother would run it with me, but he got sick the week before, so that didn't work out. I survived though! I ran 6.2 mile in an hour and fourteen minutes. I think that's pretty good since I never ran that far before the race or... ever. It was also snowing and had snowed through the night before the race. Alive

We are still alive. I am waiting for some pictures to be e-mailed to us, so that my posts go in order. I might just have to update out of order.
