Big Boy!

Hayden had his 10 day check-up on Monday and he was 9lbs 8oz already! I guess it makes sense, his belly is the biggest part of him. It reminds me of a toads belly if you flip them over onto their back. How it bows out on the sides, yeah that's what Hayden's belly looks like.

Little Book Worm

Ellie loves reading the "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" series books. She wants one of those read to her eight times a day. We are starting to get sick of them, so we have to hide all but one of them and then we rotate.

Pretty Toes

While my parents were here staying with us waiting for Hayden to come, my mom decided one day to paint Ellie toes. For those of you who have never met Ellie, she is one of those kids that does not like to sit still or be held. She has to see everything and check out what's going on. She won't even let you hold her when she has a bottle. So, needless to say that was very interesting. Ellie got a hold of one foot before it totally dried and had it all over her hand, leg, and clothes. It was quite a sight.

Ellie's One!!

Ellie turned one April 27th, but because I was in the hospital being induced we celebrated a few days early. She still hasn't had any cake. :( When she does have cake for the first time we will definitely post some pictures of the event! Here are some pictures of her opening presents.

Here is a list of things Ellie can do:
*Give Hayden Kisses
*Knows the signs for more, milk, hi, bye, all done, and food.
*She can clap, jump, dance, wave, climb stairs, and point to things we ask where they are.
*She loves to read the "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" books.
*She sings and chatters all day.
*She will bring us diapers, wipes, her bottle, books, blanket, baby doll, teddy if we ask her to.
*She loves her pink teddy bear and blanket and gives them loves often.
*She is also good at distractions to get to what she really wants.

These are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head. I'm sure I'll remember more later.

Boo Boo

Yesterday Ellie had her first bad boo boo. She was playing with a bowl and tripped and landed on it. She sliced her lip up pretty bad. Yesterday was also Chad's first day of work. He is one of the maintenance men here at our apartment complex. It's nice because if I need him he can come right over and then go back to work. Well, anyways, yesterday Chad almost ripped his fingernail off trying to start a weed whacker. It looked worse than Ellie's I thought.

Hayden Everett

Hayden finally came May 1, 2008 at 2:49 am. He was 9 lbs 4 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He was very stubborn about not wanting to come out, but finally the third time being induced he came out in one push! So, for a little while it was looking like Ellie and Hayden might have the same birthday . That was the first time I went in to be induced, but I guess he wanted his own day.
