Fun at the Park

So the past few days have been really nice outside. Which is a big change from the rain and snow we have been having up until a few days ago. We have actually been able to play outside and go to the park! Here are some pictures of Ellie enjoying the sunshine and toys, as well as the gravel and she really loves pine cones and bark. She still doesn't know what to think about swings or slides, but we expose her to them so hopefully she will get use to them. She loves the outdoors and so this spring and summer we will probably be spending a lot of time outside.

Another Year Older

Yesterday was my 21st birthday and we partied hard by watching conference. Satruday after Priesthood session, Chad surprised me with some flowers and chocolates. Some of the sisters in our ward were getting together while our husbands were at Priesthood session to visit and hang out. That was nice to get out of the house and have some girl time. Yesterday Chad also took care of Ellie for most of the day. He changed all of her diapers (including poopy ones!) and fed her. It was nice to get a break from doing that stuff and being able to enjoy conference. We stayed home and watched it. We figured it would be easier for Ellie to run around our childproofed apartment, than to run around the church. So we got all dressed up and was able to watch the first half of conference, but missed the second session because our internet wouldn't work. Very frustrating! It was overall a very good day!

Messy Baby!

So, this is the story that goes with the first two pictures of Ellie in the tub after she had just woken up. Chad thinks this is a gross story, but I think it's funny. We have pictures, but I think that would be too much for Chad, so I'll just recount what happend.

So, the past few days Ellie has had a pretty bad diaper rash and we usually let her run around without a diaper on sometime during the day to air out her bum. We do button her onesie though, so she doesn't sit directly on the capret with her sore bum. Anyways, Chad gets her up and changes her and decides to let her run free right now, since she had just woken up for the day and her diaper is almost bursting at the seams from the night. She had been running around for maybe five minutes and we hear her grunting like she does when she is poohing. So, Chad grabs her and gets ready to put a diaper on her, but it's TOO LATE! She had already poohed in her onesie. Chad doesn't handle pooh very well, so he is freaking out trying to figure out how to clean her and get her out of her onesie without touching the pooh. We finally decided to run a bath and clean her up that way and of course I was the one that had to wash her down. By the time we get Ellie cleaned up and dressed again, Chad almost missed the bus and I was almost late for my doctors appointment. So, this is our gross story about Ellie and her pooh being everywhere. If you want to see pictures of the mess she made let me know and I can send some to you, otherwise use your imagination.

Our Little Cutie!

The first two pictures are of Ellie in the bath tub and she had just woken up. I'll explain in another post. The last two are of Ellie with her hair all done. I actually put some gel in her hair to make her curls stay. Usually if I do anything I just put a barrette in her hair.

Almost Done!

So there isn't really anything new with us. Chad is almost done with this semester. He has finals in right around when i'm due, just like last time with Ellie, so we'll see how that goes. So that means that I am almost done as well! I am excited! Only about five weeks left, but it could be as early as three depending on what we find out at the next ultrasound. I'm hoping he's still big, so we can go in early and get him out.
Ellie has started doing a few new things lately. She has started "jumping". She'll stand there and bounce up and down like she's trying to jump, but doesn't get off the ground yet. It's really cute. She has also started making different noises and sounds whens she jabbers. The other day in the car she said Bob, so clearly like she was talking to him. Chad and I just started laughing. She continues to surprise and entertain us with the new and silly things she does. We are loving every minute of it. We can't believe her first birthday is coming up at the end of this month. My how time flies when your having fun!
